Kishor Wasan is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, among other honors. Kishor Wasan has authored approximately 240 peer-reviewed articles and 280 abstracts on lipid-based medication delivery and lipoprotein-drug interactions. Dr. Wasan most recently served as Dean of the University of Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy and Nutrition from August 2014 to June 2019. Dr. Wasan headed the research team at the University of British Columbia that developed iCo 019 and will initially focus on further developing iCo 019 through partnerships and collaborations.

Until 2014, Kishor Wasan was associate dean of research and a tenured professor at UBC. Dr. Wasan has authored over 520 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in leading publications. In his 19 years of independent research at UBC, he has proven research leadership. Wasan earned his undergraduate pharmacy degree from UT Austin and his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology from UT Medical Center in Houston. Dr. Kishor Wasan is a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas and has worked in both retail and hospital settings.
She holds the Canadian Institutes of Health Research/iCo Therapeutics Inc. Chair in Drug Delivery for Neglected Global Diseases and is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the Canadian Society of Pharmaceutical Scientists. He is well-known in higher education for his research and curriculum modification skills.
